I revisited the roof panels to correct their hinging, as I recognized their improper movement could lead to future problems. I bought larger hinges, which I thought would be more effective. After removing the original hinges, I repaired the affected areas on all panels. Then, I installed the new, larger hinges according to the instructions. The panels now function correctly.
Although I couldn't identify the specific problem with the kit's hinges, the new ones have significantly improved the panels' range of motion. Your results may differ from mine as many people have assembled this dollhouse and haven't mentioned issues with the hinges.
