The dollhouse's first floor is not the base; the base is a separate piece covered in brick paper, and the first floor will sit on top of it along the "grass" print.
I installed the smaller skylight on the roof panel and added the top trim to the roof ridge. This skylight is positioned above the window opening instead of inside it.
