Today, I assembled two items for the staircase. While it was nice to take a break from the tedious and difficult task of making light fixtures, this project wasn’t much of a reprieve.
The wall painting was relatively easy to put together. I used a gold Sharpie to highlight the white edges, giving the frame a more three-dimensional look.
The plant stand, however, was a nightmare to make. I ended up deviating from the instructions entirely. The instructions suggested threading three thick wires into eyelets, but the wires didn’t fit. I had to discard the thick wire and switch to the thinner wire I’d used for the chandeliers. I completely reworked the design, assembling the top and bottom parts separately and then connecting them with a single wire. This was the only solution I could find.
