Provence Lavender Dollhouse Day 43

This hanging swing is difficult to make. You have to assemble the seating area and upholster it. Then you use wire to make it hang. Getting these wire to be even on both sides can be tricky, but make sure they are. You do not want a swing that is lower on one side than the other.

The wires are then covered in floral sprigs. A throw, pillow, book and garden hat are displayed on it. These are the items I had previously made and set aside.

Now comes the problem solving. There is an issue with the way they designed this dollhouse.

This swing was meant to be glued to the porch side. But, the hinged panel, which hides the power supply is located on that side and if you glue the swing there, it will block access to the panel. You will not be able to open the panel door, fully, in order to be able to change the power supplies battery when needed. For this reason, it is best to glue this swing to the front porch, not the side.

Notice the floral springs that are glued to the roof apex. This hides the little hole where the two roof panels meet. They really thought of everything with this kit.
